IP Finland forms long-term partnerships with universities and research institutes to create value from their intellectual property. University of Helsinki
The University of Helsinki is one of the best multidisciplinary research universities in the world. The high-quality research carried out by the university creates new knowledge for educating diverse specialists in various fields, and for utilisation in social decision-making and the business sector.
The university, with almost 4,000 researchers and teachers, operates on four campuses in Helsinki and at 17 other locations. There are 35,000 students, and a further 30,000 participate in adult education.

VTT
VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is the biggest multitechnological applied research organisation in Northern Europe. VTT provides high-end technology solutions and innovation services. From its wide knowledge base, VTT can combine different technologies, create new innovations and a substantial range of world class technologies and applied research services thus improving its clients' competitiveness and competence. Through its international scientific and technology network, VTT can produce information, upgrade technology knowledge, create business intelligence and value added to its stakeholders. VTT is a part of the Finnish innovation system under the domain of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. VTT is a non-profit-making research organisation. VTT has ISO9001:2000 certificate.
University of Oulu
The University of Oulu is an international research and innovation university engaged in multidisciplinary basic research and academic education.
It is one of the largest universities in Finland with an exceptionally wide academic base. The fields of information technology, biotechnology, northern and environmental issues have been defined as special research focus areas.
The University cooperates closely with industry and commerce, and has broad connections with hundreds of international research and educational institutions.

Tekes
Tekes is the most important publicly funded expert organisation for financing research, development and innovation in Finland. We boost wide-ranging innovation activities in research communities, industry and service sectors.
Tekes promotes a broad-based view on innovation: besides funding technological breakthroughs, Tekes emphasises the significance of service-related, design, business, and social innovations. Tekes works with the top innovative companies and research units in Finland. Every year, Tekes finances some 1,500 business research and development projects, and almost 600 public research projects at universities, research institutes and polytechnics. Research, development and innovation funding is targeted to projects that create in the long-term the greatest benefits for the economy and society. Tekes does not derive any financial profit from its activities, nor claim any intellectual proprietary rights.
